Appeals and Complaints

AJCCE aims to make fair editorial decisions and to respond openly to concerns about its processes.

Appealing an editorial decision

  • Authors who believe that a decision on their manuscript was based on a significant error or misunderstanding may appeal by email to editor@ajcce.org.
  • The appeal should state the manuscript title and submission ID, and explain clearly, point by point, why the decision should be reconsidered.
  • The editorial team reviews the appeal, where possible through an editor who was not involved in the original decision, and may seek further expert opinion.
  • The authors are informed of the outcome of the appeal.

Complaints

Complaints about the journal's editorial processes, delays, or the conduct of editors or reviewers can be sent to editor@ajcce.org. Please include enough detail and any supporting evidence. Complaints are handled fairly and confidentially, and the complainant receives a response.

Concerns about published articles

Readers who suspect misconduct or a serious error in a published article may contact the editorial office. Such concerns are handled according to the journal's Publication Ethics.
